Repurposed Old Console to Serve It Up With Style

Junk in the Trunk

In my opinion pretty much everything has a purpose (or repurpose) and there is a purpose (again repurpose) for everything.
So think about this the next time you are tempted to pass up that curbside “freebie”, don’t pass it up, pick it up instead.
This old empty console “freebie” still had style and good bones.
The first thing I did was clean it up and shop for fabric. I found the beautiful paisley and started ripping the old screen out then putting the new in.
After emptying any remnants left over in the gutted cabinet, my dear husband built in shelves. I sanded, repainted top sliding panels and painted hardware.
The finished piece makes for a really pretty and unique buffet. So when the glassware and china is pulled out for the family holiday dinner, it’s gonna be served up with style.
