I have been on Pinterest looking at so many home decor ideas and pinning them to my boards to only sit there. I know a lot of us do this, I wish I could have someone come over bring the stuff I need and decorate for me lol. Not to mention pay for it as well. (Just kidding) unless u are giving me a huge gift and have money to share lol. 

It is slowly coming together a few months ago I convinced hubby to go with me to get a leather sofa but we decided on the durablend leather material instead because of the dogs nails. A fact I didn’t know is that real leather scratches, not to mention the price of real leather is extremely expensive and I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on the sofa. 

I ended up finding a sofa at gardiners furniture store. I am so glad I went to see 50 shades of gray that day with friends and one of their friends said go next door and look they have great furniture all price ranges and that is where I found my sofa. Plus it was on sale and no taxes eithe who could beat that but now I am kicking myself because I didn’t get the chair and would like to have the chair but do not want to drive far to the warehouse and delivery is $80. 

Anyways I have been buying a few small items when I see them to add to the decor in the living room which I decided will be hints of teals and oranges. My favorite color is purple but I must say I love teal a lot too. 

I had seen a lot of people using books as decor on their coffee tables and wanted to see if I could find some in teals and oranges and I finally did and they look so cute I just love them.

I am sure I will be writing a update on my living room decor soon again with my new additions. I almost forgot I ordered this from etsy to hang on my wall as well. 

  I had the etsy shop owner add a little more teal to the middle flower to give me a little more teal.  

My Diamond Candle 💍💎💍💎

I used my last diamond candle that I had in my stockpile of candles yesterday. Which meant after burning the candle for a few hours I would have a new ring to add to my collection. 

The only thing I don’t like about diamond candles is that you never know what size your ring will be and sometimes you get a beautiful ring that will not fit on any of your fingers. I know other ring candle companies let you choose your size or you can pick the option of surprise me, which can be any size. 

The candles cost around $25 if you don’t have a coupon code. 

Here are some photos of my diamond candle and the process of retrieving my ring. Diamond candle has a gold circle so u know where the ring is located. The ring is wrapped in foil and also is in a small Baggie. This helps because you do not want wax all over your new ring. 

I loved the ring I got last night because it is purple my favorite color.

I have started to make baby hats for the local hospital with a loom I purchased from walmart. I had a ton of yarn so why not make hats and donate them. One hospital couldn’t take any more donations so I started giving them to another hospital in Baltimore.

Home with Harley 🐶🐾🐶🐾

Since today was MLK day I had off of work. It was nice to have off since we had a work party on Sunday. Harley and I didn’t do much today and then I started to feel like I was coming down with a cold so I rested and got caught up on TV shows. The dog didn’t mind I wasn’t really messing up his routine because that’s what he does everyday anyways lol. Here is a few photos I took of how the dog relaxes all day long lol.

So while I was laying around I also got caught up on a few more hats for the hospital nursery.

Scarf i crocheted for harley 🐶🐾🐶🐾

As I was learning to crochet a few weeks ago I decided to make hast a little scarf that he could wear for the christmas photo shoot. I was slacking so this year our family Christmas card was pictures of just the dog lol.

Here are a few good pics of the photo shoot and the handmade scarf I made for harley.

The pictures above are the actual scarf and the pictures below are when I tried the scarf on harley to see how it fit. He didn’t like it as u can tell from some of the pictures.

Now for some of the pictures from the holiday photo shoot. I take my own photos so I don’t have to take harley out to the mall etc.

Learned How To Crochet Over the Holidays 👍

Right before thanksgiving I decided to try to learn something new like crocheting. A lot of people at work do this at night while watching tv and during lunch time. I never want to ask them to make something for me so I decided to try myself. However I haven’t started learning the many items I would love to have yet but hey one step at a time.

Lori helped me a lot and still is and is going to start taking some classes at the local craft store to get more ideas and styles to crochet. She makes prayer shawls currently for the local hospital.

These shawls are very warm and makes a great gift for any patient. Think about a friend or family member who may be having chemo this would be great for them during their treatments.

Anyways back to my lessons I decided to you tube scarves and made a few of those will Lori helping me along the way. Still haven’t got it down 100% but hey I am impressed with how it came out and u can tell it is a scarf lol. I need to work on the ends for some reason I must stop ahead or too far out before I start the next row so the ends are all over the place.

So the pics above are some of the scarves I made. I also made one for the dog u will see in the next post.
I decided since the ends aren’t great to add some fringe to cover up my mistakes. So now I have a knitting loom hopefully this will be easier for me to use for some projects.

Favorite Things Party 🎁🎁

I don’t know if you have heard of the party called favorite things party, but apparently Oprah had a show and gave everyone some of her favorite things she uses everyday or just loved and can’t live without.

I looked on Pinterest to get some ideas on how this party works exactly because I figured instead of the Chinese auction we could have a favorite things party. People do play the game a little different one blog said that you would fill out a short fun survey and which ever guest correctly named who filled in the survey could go up to the table and pick a gift of there choice which I like but then I read that the person who starts like the hostess would draw three names and those three people would get the her favorite gift.

Have you heard of this game? If so how do u play your game and list some of the cool ideas and gifts that you have seen or had at your party. Here are a few pictures from blogs and pinterest.
